Makes me think about some old technicolor adventure movie, both mysterious and and evil. The 8 bit is perfect for this situation, so that's an original use of this plugin. And it's really well done.

Sorry but i don't think it suits to Mars, neither to Halloween. Actually i don't see what it can suit to. The choice of the instruments is interesting, but for me it seems you don't know where you go, both with notes and rythms, and that prevents from making the song correspond to an environment. It's like you closed your eyes and put your fingers on the keys, then, opening your eyes, you say "oh cool, why not !". I'm absolutely caricaturing, it's not that obvious, and that can be heard that you worked on it, but i try to explain how i feel it with my words (i don't speak english well enough to use the words i want).
For me, there is no continuity in this melody, all the sharp and very smooth voices are leading to nowhere, and that doesn't work. And due to the non-classic construction, there are some frictions with the bass at some moments.
Of course a melodic line or theme doesn't need to be linear to be nice to hear and to be catchy or whatever, but here, i really feel lost, and not surprised in a good way. And it's contrasting too much with the more noisy passages (which i found quite good). The intro and outro are well done, letting you glide in a nice atmosphere, the transitions are well brought too. But the musicbox leads make you go out of an ambient track to fall in a song that, in my opinion, is unequalled.
For me it'll be 5/10 and 2/5.

I don't agree with your preference order in the megaman x series, and i guess the music of this opus (x3) is the worst of the first 5, comparing to the extraordinary quality of the other ones... Nevertheless you did a very good job on this song. Even if i don't like the original gravity beetle particularly, you succeeded to do something really nice with it.
Really smooth and soft. I had pleasure to (re-)listen to this theme. It's well composed and provides an atmosphere a little different that the original one. Something between clouds and dreams, without being romantic-pathetic. Still catchy, even if the envelop is smooth.
The very sharp melody was a very good idea, but in my opinion, you should have took it down by one octave, cause we sometimes loose it when it goes up and up at the end of the first part of the theme. The rest is well structured, no problem. Good beats and drums and simple and effective bass.

We kind of lose our marks, but in the same time, that stays really in rythm, thanks to the battery.
I give you many points for the originality of the song and the diversity of all the sounds. Finally that makes a very coherent and homogenous song (despite the variety of voices).
Maybe you could have worked a lil' more on the "melody", and have added some more "normal" instruments, like a bass, or something, cause in a way, it's a little bit empty by moments.
Overall, that's a good and interesting work in my opinion.
Deliciously nightmareful
You did a very good work on this song. You created more than an environment, it's a new world. You've got amazing sounds, and you organized them perfectly. Very nice variations, between moments of silence and anxious waiting, and massive and heavy interludes. The background noises are a real plus.
That's a really imaged music. That makes me think about the movie Tetsuo.
You've got your first truely diserved 5/5 by me. Well done.

I just checked this song again after some days, _ maybe weeks, cause the theme (if we can distinguish one main theme in this [still] escaping-little-brownie melody, he he) stayed in my head and woke up sometimes _ and I got this surprise :)

Indeed, i find it better than the first version, those percussions are bringing a better stability that allows you to play with the melody as you want. It's still a super catchy and imaged song. And your main instrument sounds really awesome. Those low bells and low bass are accompaning very well the high voice while making their own melody. This song sounds like a game you played with yourself. It's really original and I like this ambiance a lot. The end (last 15 seconds), is really well done.
I give you a 10 for succeeding in the creation of such an original and addicting song.

I'm not sure you should make a full version. This one is already perfect.
I loved the fade in with the melody appearing clearer little by little at the beginning.
Your battery is awesome too. Not that simple but totally in place, and very very effective.
Your switching from your 8 bit bass and (addicting) melody to your i-don't-know-how-to-call-it other instruments is made with tact.
And the end ! One kind of fade out, not with the volume but with the progressive disappearance of all voices is super cool !
Your melodies and sounds are really awesome here. This is a very good song, maybe cause of its shortness too. 10 and 5.
A lil too long...
Your instruments and the global atmosphere sounds nice.
The battery is indeed coming very well in a totally appropriate and efficient way, but it turns kind of breathless after a while. It's a good start but it needs to be developed and changed a bit, according to me.
Another point is that your melody is too low and it's covered by the rest when it arrives, some notes can hardly be distinguished. Though, it is nicely done and its accompaniment suits it well.
And the last thing is that it's faaaar too long... The beginning is good and doesn't waste time, but after that it's just repetitions without changing anymore (or not that much). I think you should try to make it really shorter. I'm sure it can be as good in 1 : 30.
It's an instrumental for a rap song, which tend to get repetitive without the lyrics. I dont like too much variation i like to bring it in the vocals. i see how it would be completely boring itself.

My first music review is for you. You can feel honored (or not, it's up to you).
So... You succeeded to create a really nice ambiance, i particularly like the beginning for it. The smooth percu suits perfectly to the rest, in this sense . One mistake, according to me, is the rave-clubbing echo at the entrance of the first sharped melody. I think you should remove it cause there is no place for it (no offence, it's just my opinion).
The break with the piano is quite correct even if really sudden, but that's not a problem due to the atmosphere, and the use of this instrument brings a lil sad side that is great and makes think about a post-apocalyptical landscape (particularly when the long kinda mystic notes accompany it).
One last thing... unfortunately i don't really like the end, it's too different from the rest and i don't understand it.
I hope you'll understand everything, it's not easy to express myself about music in a language which is not mine.
PS : i gave you a 8 at the beginning, due to the 2-3 things that i find wrong, but the music is still playing and looping while i'm reviewin, and after 6 or more listenings, i really like it... ;) Well done.
